Ex-Kakamega senanor Bonnie Khalwale insists that Raila Odinga has no option other than supporting one of his co-principals for 2022 race.
In what seemed as an acrimonious fallout, both Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi openly accused Raila of reaching out president Uhuru Kenyatta without their consent.
And at a funeral in Bondo on Saturday, Khalwale revisited clauses within the secret MoU that guided the formation of NASA, in which ODM is said to have agreed not to field a candidate in 2022.
"In the NASA agreement, a presidential candidate will come from Wiper, ANC or Ford Kenya," said the former legislator.
He further said: "ODM agreed and signed. Raila, whom I respect is aware and knows that he should not be on the ballot."
The January 30th controversial swearing in seems to have widened the cracks within the opposition, with Raila's close allies accusing the other three principals of abandoning him at the eleventh hour.
And since then, ODM responded by kicking Wetangula out of senate leadership by replacing him with James Orengo.
But in the event, Khalwale urged Raila to be 'statesman enough' and honour written agreements.
