Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader Boni Khalwale has cautioned the Jubilee administration against manipulating the outcome of the next general elections in their favour.
Speaking on Saturday during a rally in Kibra constituency, the Kakamega Senator revealed that the Opposition would swear in their Presidential candidate in a neighbouring country in the event they win and are rigged out.
"Senegal has taught us a lesson if our candidate is not sworn we will swear him in Tanzania the same way Gambian President Adama Barrow was sworn in Senegal as the former President Yahya Jammeh had refused to relinquish power," the Star quoted the legislator.
Opposition leaders including Cord Leader Raila Odinga, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula have also in the past raised poll rigging claims, challenging the new electoral body chaired by Wafula Chebukati to ensure free, fair and credible general elections.
The Jubilee administration has, however, in the past dismissed the Opposition's rigging claims, observing that the Opposition is scared of facing them in the polls.
