Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader Bonny Khalwale says the opposition team has an ‘ideal’ presidential candidate in place.
With only eight months to August 2017 elections, the opposition tem is yet to announce its flag bearer for the elections.
Speaking at Mosobeti market on Sunday, Khalwale said they will unveil the candidate when the right time comes adding that opposition supporters should not be worried.
“I don’t think an organized team like the opposition can take all this long without a candidate to challenge Jubilee. We have our ideal candidate in place already,” he said.
“We are just waiting for the prime time to unveil the candidate. Our supporters should not be worried at all. Everything is under control,” he said.
During the rally, Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula said he was ready to carry the opposition’s flag in 2017 citing his immense experience in leadership.
