Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has said he would hate to see a presidency led by either ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi or Ford Kenya's Moses Wetangula that employs majority members of the Luhya community.
Khalwale said during an interview with NTV that he would love to see a Kenyan government that employs people on merit without necessarily taking into account someone's tribe.
"I will hate to see a government led by Mudavadi or Wetangula that gives the majority of the positions to Luhyas," Khalwale, the Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader said.
He reiterated a member of the Luhya community will be on the ballot in 2022 as the community won't back anyone during the poll.
He also told off Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo for his remarks that Mudavadi, Wetangula and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka have began campaigning without approval from opposition chief Raila Odinga.
"Who told you that for Kalonzo, Mudavadi, Wetangula or Ruto to campaign that they have to seek permission from Raila or Uhuru?" Khalwale a trained medical doctor said in reference to Amollo's remarks.
He said members of the Luhya community have learnt a lot from Raila's "departure" from NASA and began working with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
