Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi adviser on coalition matters Wasai Nanjakululu has indicated Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale will pay dearly for betraying the leadership of Luhya community leadership.
According to Nanjakululu, Khalwale led other Luhya representatives in the Nasa National Coordinating Committee in demeaning Mudavadi and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang’ula.
“The two principals are disturbed that they can send their trusted lieutenants to push for the interest of the community and they turn out to be sellouts,” said Nanjakululu.
Speaking in Kakamega, Wednesday, Nanjakululu termed the senators act as a shame to western region.
"The fact that Khalwale and company only left Sakwa Bunyasi with Kipruto Kirwa and Mohammed Yare to defend Mudavadi in the committee is a big embarrassment," he added.
Sources within the Nasa NCC revealed that the committee members had settled for Raila – Kalonzo candidature, while the position of a chief minister was to be created for Mudavadi and Wetangula could be appointed either as the speaker for National assembly or the Senate.
