Reacting after Belgium defeated Tunisia with five goals to two, former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale accused the European side of using 'foreigners' to secure the much-needed win.

Two dark-skinned players Romelu Lukaku and Michy Batshuayi scored crucial goals to help Belgium demolish Tunisia in the match played at the Spartak Stadium, Moscow.

Lukaku scored two goals while his patriot netted the European side's fifth goal. Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard scored the other two goals.

In a tweet on Saturday, Khalwale proposed that players not born in a particular country should be banned from playing for that nation at the world's biggest football event.

"Bang! Belgium vs Tunisia 5-2! European countries (Belgium, France etc) are using African players to beat African teams! FIFA must change the rules such that only players who are citizens by birth can play for their countries at the World Cup!" he posted.

Among the players in the Belgium squad with African heritage include Christian Benteke and Mousa Dembele.

Divock Origi, the son of former Kenyan international Mike Okoth, played for the Red Devils in the 2014 World Cup at Brazil.

The professional footballers, however, were born at the country in Western Europe.
