Ford Kenya deputy party leader Dr Boni Khalwale now wants two of the four NASA coalition principals, to unite ahead of the 2022 general elections.
The former Kakamega county senator asked his party leader Moses Wetangula and ANC's Musalia Mudavadi, to merge their political parties as a symbol of unity before 2022 elections.
His calls follows lamentations from Mudavadi and Wetangula, that NASA leader Raila Odinga (ODM) betrayed them after he failed to consult them following his meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 9.
Addressing supporters in Vihiga on Saturday, the duo said Odinga had betrayed the Luhya community.
Addressing supporters during the same roadside rallies, Khalwa said it was time for the Luhya community to unite and speak in one voice, especially after the 'betrayal'.
“I am crying my fellow Luhya. It is a pity that Raila now thinks we don’t matter. I ask Mudavadi and Wetangula to unite,” Khalwale said.
Earlier, the former Ikolomani lawmaker had called on the Luhya community to rally behind Mudavadi and Wetangula's presidential ambitions in 2022.
