Kiala claims that various development projects that were initiated during the 2013/2014 financial year have not been completed.

Kiala on Tuesday said that the governor was living development projects uncompleted and launching others.

“Governor Mutua should explain to locals why projects he started during the 2013/2014 Financial Year have not been completed up to date,” he said on phone.

Kiala said that taxpayer’s money was being used on projects that later stall.

He cited the Muli Farm- Ndathini Road, Katangi-Matuu Road and the Kimutwa-Kalama road as projects that have taken years to be completed.

The deputy governor further called for an audit into Governor Mutua’s development projects.

He claimed that some of the projects being launched are suspicious and could be ground for fleeing of tax payers money.

Kiala asked residents to demand accountability from the county government in regards to development.

At the same time, Kiala asked governor Mutua to ensure that the Sh10.8 Billion allocated to the county this financial year (2016/2017) are used prudently.

He said that devolution was for the people to benefit and not for a few leaders to pocket public money.
