Machakos County Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala has called for unity among Cord top leaders ahead of the 2017 general elections.
Kiala said that the coalition will clinch the 2017 elections easily if the three principals and members of the coalition remain united.
The deputy governor said that Kenyans have faith in Cord leaders hence the need for them to remain united.
“Cord top leaders must remain together and strategize on how to make the next government come 2017,” said Kiala during a political rally at Kamkunji ground in Nairobi on Sunday,
Kiala observed that the problems facing the country especially corruption can be addressed by Cord.
“The leadership of Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula is best suited to address the challenges facing the county and more so corruption and tribalism,” he said.
The Machakos county deputy governor pledged to rally behind Machakos locals to support Cord.
He said that that Machakos people have faith in Cord and will support the coalition in the leaders come 2017.
The Machakos deputy governor also said that he will work with cord top leaders to ensure that the coalition gets votes in the larger Machakos region.
