Machakos county Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala Monday commissioned a borehole funded by Plan Kenya at Nzambani in Kyeleni ward.

Speaking during the event, Kiala said the borehole looks to solve a water shortage crisis that has hit the area for a very long time.

"The borehole will provide water for both domestic and small small scale irrigation to the local community and school," Kiala said. 

He further used the occasion to sensitize the locals on #UgatuziNaKiala, a civic education programme on devolution launched by the Deputy Governor two months ago.
