Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala has said that he will smoke out his county boss Dr Alfred Mutua from power early in the morning come 8 August.
Kiala, who is set to lock horns with Chama Cha Uzalendo Leader Wavinya Ndeti during primaries, has insisted that he enjoys massive support from the people of this part of the nation.
“Machakos residents have confidence in me and should I carry the Wiper ticket, I will beat Mutua in the morning,” said Kiala as quoted by Standard.
The outspoken leader also said that he is holding talks with Wavinya Ndeti so that she can pave way for him but if they do not come to consensus then they will battle each other during primaries.
“We are talking with Wavinya. If we agree, that will be good. She can step down for me but if we fail to agree then we will meet on April 21 nominations,” he added.
On his part Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama has said that Kiala stands a better chance to beat Mutua than Wavinya Ndeti if fronted by Wiper Party.
“Kiala is the Wiper candidate for the gubernatorial seat, he stands better chances,” said Muthama who is defending his seat through Wiper.
