Speaking on K24 TV breakfast program on Monday, Kiala said that he will be vying for Machakos County gubernatorial seat through a Wiper Party ticket.

"Let me be very clear here now and then, I will be running for Machakos county governorship seat using a Wiper Party ticket. Machakos needs a leader who understands the problems of the people not movie makers," Kiala said.

Kiala said that Mutua's Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement is a political party and is bound to fail. "Machakos and the rest of Ukambani is 'Corded' than ever before and there is no doubt about that.

People have realized that Maendeleo Chap Chap is a political movement that doesn't have their interests at heart," he added.

The Deputy Governor said that Mutua doesn't prioritize the people's problems and goes for what he thinks are their priorities and ends up being wrong. He cited many incomplete projects in the county which he said didn't auger well with the people.

Kiala has been at loggerheads with Mutua over several issues affecting the county as well as their political inclinations with Mutua leaning towards Jubilee while Kiala remains loyal to Cord.
