Kiala claims that the MPs are being used to divide the Kamba people ahead of the 2017 elections.

According to the lawmaker, some MPs who recently defected to Jubilee are holding rallies which they use as avenues to incite locals against Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Kiala states that it is not right for the selfish politicians to tarnish the name of Kalonzo and Wiper.

Speaking to locals at Machakos town on Monday, Kiala asked the defectors to stop discussing wiper in their rallies since they have already defected.

“These people (defectors) should now concentrate on the activities of their new political outfit and stop discussing Wiper and Kalonzo in their meetings,” he said.

Kiala said that Wiper has not been shaken by the defection of some rebels.

The Machakos deputy governor indicated that the Kalonzo led party will remain strong ahead of the 2017 general elections.

Several MPs who recently ditched Wiper have been holding rallies aimed at wooing Kalonzo to Jubilee.

The MPs led by Yatta lawmaker Francis Mwangangi and his Mwala counterpart Vincent Musyoka have vowed to woe Kalonzo out of Cord.

The Ukambani MPs say that Kalonzo is being used by Cord and that he will never be endorsed as the coalition 2017 flag bearer.

On Sunday during a church service at St Paul’s’ Catholic Church in Matuu, Machakos county, Mwangangi said that they will organize a regional meeting to discuss the way forward for Ukambani.

“We are planning for a regional meeting in which we will incite Kalonzo to chart ay forward for 2017,” said the Yatta MP.

There have been calls for Kalonzo to ditch Cord and join the Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee government.

In recent times Kalonzo has been quoted saying that he will do everything to make sure he is in government come 2017.
