Machakos Deputy Governer Benard Kiala's daughter has been found.
Nairobi CID boss Ireri Kamwende said on Thursday morning that the girl was found at a house in Sunton, Mwiki, by CID officers adding that she was not kidnapped as alleged.
"We have taken her with us to the CID headquarters so that she can record a statement before we give further information," he said as quoted by the Star.
Kiala's daughter reportedly went missing last Wednesday demanding him to drop his 2017 bid for Machakos governor.
A message sent to his wife by phone on Friday read: “We have your daughter alive. We will release her but tell your husband if he runs for governor, it will not be the first attempt.”
Kamwende, however said that they have realised she was not abducted after questioning her.
