Addressing residents on Saturday, Kamau complained that most roads connecting the ward are in a poor state.

He stated that the roads need urged repair and renovation to avoid inconveniencing locals and business people.

Kamau said the county government has a responsibility to oversee road development plus other infrastructure.

“Our roads are in poor state and the situation is even worse during the rainy season,” he said.

The ward representatives also asked the county government to install streetlights to enable residents go on with their activities on 24-hour basis.

Meanwhile, the MCA wants the county government to boost security in the ward. He complained that cases of crime have gone up.

He appealed to security agencies to conduct more surveillance and deal with criminals roaming in the ward.

He said the county has a responsibility to assure locals of their safety, adding that no development would be realised if locals live in fear of being attacked and robbed.
