Kiambaa sub-county commissioner, Wycliff Munanda, has asked the area landlords to take forms from the chiefs' offices so that they can profile their tenants.
Speaking on Wednesday in Kiambaa during a public baraza to sensitise residents on the steps the government is taking to enhance security in the area, Munanda, said this is in line with ensuring that the Nyumba Kumi initiative works effectively and that criminals do not use their houses as hide-outs.
"Everybody who has a rental house must go to their area chief's office and take the forms that they are going to use to document their tenants' information,” said Munanda.
Munanda has also warned those joining criminal gangs and terror groups saying that the law will catch up with them soon.
"We have some youths here who are joining criminal gangs. I was told one is going by the name Quail. This will not be tolerated and those caught will be dealt with squarely. You must know that the price of crime is death,” he warned.
