Speaking at Thika town on Monday, Kabogo said that sub-county administrators are required to oversee development in their respective areas.

The Governor further noted that enough funds have been channeled to the sub-counties for development purposes, noting that the county government is committed to work for the people and will not be derailed by petty politics.

“Sub-county administrators should focus on promoting development at their respective regions, we have given them the required resources,” he said.

Several leaders across Kiambu have in the recent past accused Kabogo of using the sub county administrators to frustrate roles of ward representatives.

The county boss also said that his government will not give room to people he said, are keen to cause disharmony.

Meanwhile, the governor has once again asked the government to dialogue with teachers to end the ongoing strike.

The governor said students in public schools are being disadvantaged since their counterparts in private schools are in school learning.

The county boss urged the government to take teachers’ concerns seriously, and find a lasting solution to the strike that threatens education standards.
