The centres are set to benefit from the digital program that will expose children to ICT at a tender age.

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has said that in this digital era, children ought to start learning computers at an early age before they can go to primary school.

“This plan is meant to ensure that our kids have computer knowledge when they are still young. The ECD centres in this county will soon benefit from this plan,” said Kabogo.

At the same time, Kabogo appealed to well-wishers to help make the plan successful saying that the county has not been doing well in education.

“I request all those who have the interest of Kiambu children education at heart to chip in and help us realise the dream. We need to uplift the level of education in this county which is not so good,” Kabogo added.

The governor also announced that they will soon be engaging children, parents, teachers and all the stakeholders in educational talks throughout the county to ensure that all the schools are reading from the same script.

The laptop program to schools is a Jubilee government brainchild though it does not involve nursery schools.
