Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has termed Kiambu Biashara Fund a success story which has uplifted and helped many fight poverty and unemployment.
Speaking during issuing of cheques and letters of offers to beneficiaries of the Fund in Limuru sub- County at Kamirithu Youth Polytechnic on Thursday, he said the repayment has been above their expectations.
“Today, as I speak, I'm very glad to report most youths have already repaid fully the loan we gave a while ago and have already applied loans for further expansion, said Kabogo.
Kabogo said the fund has brought true transformation in lives of many youths, people with disabilities and women in the county.
"This fund has financed many from bodaboda industry to agribusiness to running hotels and tours and travel businesses, this fund is transforming the youth of Kiambu,” Kabogo said.
The governor dismissed his critics as busy bodies who have nothing to offer but propaganda.
"There are some busy bodies going around telling people am using this fund for my political gains. These are the characters with nothing to offer and only want to see you impoverished so they can exploit you."
