The residents of Kiambu county should now be steady since the Kiambu Biashara Fund Sub County committees have met on Thursday to asses and recommend those that will receive funding in the first round next month.
The fund which is distributed to youths in starting of businesses will benefit many youths and eradicate unemployment which is a cancer in the economy of the county.
The county boss Governor William Kabogo earlier disclosed that the government will increase the funds from Kshs 300 million to Kshs.700 to cater for many youths who were unable to benefit from the funds.
According to Kiambu Sports and Youth Affairs CeC Michael Waikenda, the team will be vigilant and asses without biasness and promote fairness and with zero distortion.
The CeC said that the funds will help the county to improve source of livelihood thus urged the residents who applied to be patient since the outcome will be availed soon.
Waikenda who was speaking on Thursday in Thika town said that the county government is keener in promoting the welfare of the residents and kick unemployment which results to crime and drugs abuse in the region.
Waikenda has hailed the county governor Kabogo for continuously dominating in ensuring the Kiambu residents have a better living standard with source of livelihood.
He has urged youths who will benefit from the funds to use the money wisely to create more employment for the people of Kiambu.
