Kikuyu traffic base commander has cautioned bodaboda operators in the sub-county against over speeding as it is against the law. Speaking from her office today, Inspector Elizabeth Wakuloba said that a traffic crack down last night led to the arrest of 13 bodaboda operators.

She said the operators will be charged with over speeding.

Wakuloba said the law which is mostly broken during the night was endangering lives. The Inspector further explained that over speeding was a punishable crime thus majority of the operators were on the wrong side of the law.

Inspector Wakuloba stated that the 13 who were arrested last night should be an example to those breaking the law.

She vowed to curb the crime by ensuring her department works day and night to assure road users of their safety. “Those bodaboda operators in the region who have a tendency of over speeding due to greediness will be brought to book and will be charged accordingly. Whoever will be arrested will serve as an example to the rest,” said Wakuloba.
