Governor William Kabogo has said that the county will move a step ahead in the next bursary issuance in the county and make it digital so as it may be easier for the committees to conduct the vetting processes.

Kabogo, who was speaking in Ngoliba ward where he disbursed the bursaries to all the Thika sub-county beneficiaries, said that it has been so hard for the vetting committees to complete the process in time as the applications are so many and they need a better and easier way to do it.

He added that Kiambu having been named the best county in ICT will ensure they move to the digital application and that the pubic are educated on the way for ward.

He stated that the residents will be forced to used cyber café’s to apply for anything they want or even their mobile phone as they will soon invest in free wifi in the sub-counties’ headquarter offices for the benefit of the public.

“We are going to bring a free wifi network in the towns and we will offer it to every resident so as you can make your applications easily in the digital manner,” Kabogo said.

Kabogo called on the public to ensure they are computer literate as the future of this county is going digital and they will not leave anyone behind who is not conversant with the digital era.

He lauded the launch of the Digital revenue collection which he says has made it easier for the county to account for their funds and has increased the levies collected in a day.
