The launch, which was graced by the County boss Governor William Kabogo is said to be an important element of the Kiambu county education initiative, to promote education in the region.

The project, which was sponsored by TransCentury Limited is meant to serve the urgency of the county to redefine vocational education and training, to make them flexible, contemporary, relevant and creative according to the governor.

The governor said that the programme will be a major contributor of skilled human resource for the county, which will greatly reduce poverty by cubing high rates of unemployment among the youths, by offering the much needed competency based hands-on skills training.

Kabogo said that it was high time for education to take a notch higher by providing vocational studies for the youth, and learners to gain education at their own conveniences, which he believes will boost the education sector in the county.

The county boss who was speaking on Wednesday at the institution has extended his acknowledgement of a job well done by the institution, saying that it required great minds to come up with a solution to education in the county.

“This is what Kiambu wants, to have great minds that can come up with solutions to better learning, I say congratulation to the institution,” said Kabogo.

He has appealed for learners in Kiambu to apply for the same, and get knowledge that will help boost the economy of the country in line with vision 2030.
