Business in Kiambu County Assembly failed to kick-off yesterday due to the absence of Speaker Gathii Irungu.
The MCAs wanted Gathii to make a ruling on who is the house majority leader.
This is after the speaker failed to announce the new majority leader Simon Komu whom TNA MCAs elected after ousting MCA Chege Wanjiru who has been the majority leader since October, 2014.
The MCAs said that they wrote to the speaker of the new changes but is yet to announce the changes on the floor of the assembly, almost a month after informing him.
The TNA MCAs who are the majority in the house have now vowed not to set foot in the house till the speaker resolves the matter.
"We were here in the morning as usual but the speaker failed to turn up to make the communication on the new majority leadership because it has to be done in this house," Kabete MCA Walter Ndabo told journalists outside the assembly.
Kamenu MCA Mary Hussein said, "We don't know where the speaker is because he has not been around for a week. We need him here to make that ruling so that we can transact business as usual."
