Kiambu county government has employed additional staff in the health, procurement and legal sectors so as to streamline its services at the local level.
According to the county governor William Kabogo who was speaking in Lari on Monday morning, the Kiambu health facilities have been having shortage of human resource thus the program is meant to ensure that all health centers have enough human resource capacity.
Kabogo said that he is keener in enhancing service delivery in the county and maintain as the number one county in procurement in the Kenya citing the previous rating where Kiambu was ranked as the best county in matters of procurement.
He said that the new employees are well skilled and thus urged the residents with proper and appealing qualifications to join the race in applying for the positions which still need more employees.
The county boss expressed his concerns with highest number of unemployment due to illiteracy in Kiambu and thus appealed to parents and teachers to be vigilant when education is concerned.
The legislator said that during the application form, they received many applicants who not qualified and thus only picked the few who could manage on the job and urged more people to avail the application forms in the county hall offices.
He said that health sector in Kiambu has been in a very poor service due to lack of enough manpower and resources thus revealed that plans are underway in importing facilities from outside countries citing the previous modern equipments delivered at General Kago Morgue.
He said that his government will not relent and joke on service delivery and he won’t tire to make Kiambu an admirable county.
