“I am confident and I believe that Deputy President William Ruto will win the 2022 presidential election with a landslide victory and we as Kiambu County will support him,” said the Kiambu County boss.
Reacting to the Friday’s incidence in Nairobi that saw at least three people dead, the governor called on the government to fast-track investigations and bring the culpable politicians to justice.
“The government should act with absolute speed in ensuring that errant politicians get the dose of their own medicine. The opposition leader Raila Odinga should be held responsible for the lives that are being lost in the streets,” said Waititu.
Waititu told off Raila and his brigade saying they should follow the constitution adding that Kenyans are tired of political rivalry which is causing deaths of poor citizens.
Other Jubilee party leaders that accompanied the governor included MPs Moses Kuria and Kimani Ichung’wa.
