In line with President Uhuru Kenyatta's 'Big Four Pillars', Kiambu has hyped the provision of quality health services to its residents through the opening of more health facilities and equipping existing ones.
On Thursday, Deputy Governor James Nyoro presided over the launching of Radiology and X-ray Units at Kiambu Level Four Hospital.
Speaking during the launch, Nyoro noted the significant benefits the two units are going to bring saying they are not only going to benefit residents but all people in the entire county.
He further pointed out that the units will bring a great relief to Thika Level Five Hospital which has seen a lot of people rushing there for X-ray services.
"This facility has been of great impact to residents and this is the opportune time to become more beneficial," Nyoro said.
Nyoro also said Kiambu government will see to it that the elderly people across the County will be given full medical coverage under the national insurance Fund (NHIF).
"By mid this year, we want to see that each and every person in all households in the County is registered under NHIF. This will save us a great deal in getting medical services in all the facilities," said the Deputy Governor.
