Kiambu County is set to revise some policies and adopt new ones on matters of government and administration following a consultative meeting with legislators of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
Speaking today at Kiambu headquarters offices when the legislators paid a courtesy call, Kiambu county governor William Kabogo said this is geared towards ensuring efficient and smooth implementation of policies.
“My government is committed to developing accommodative, flexible and result-oriented policies that incorporate the people’s views and needs. We are looking forward to adopting some policies from the East African Legislative Assembly that will effectively aid in delivering on our mandate,” said Kabogo.
The team also seeks to collaborate with the county government to streamline service delivery.
Through partnership in policy making, Kiambu county government will therefore incorporate EALA in the procedures and process of policy making, a move that will ease the process and represent a wider scope of policy makers.
“We will focus more on issues of collaboration and how counties can take the rightful actions to implement and benefit from the East African policies. This will have a positive impact on the counties’ efficiency in governance and representation of the people to reduce cases of contradicting and contentious policies,” said Kabogo.
