The governor’s wife said that the ministry has pulled down the education sector in Kenya as only the rich have been considered and prioritized for the sector’s best services.

The governor’s wife spoke in Mangu over the weekend, where she was present for the opening of a library in St. Paul’s Primary School. She said that she was disappointed by what she saw was a move to deny poorer children their rights of joining better schools, even when these students had performed excellently.

She said that it was discouraging to see a young child’s dream of prosperity in their future be killed by a ministry that has proved itself  corrupt, unsuitable to hold office and was thus not fit to serve the public.

Mrs. Kabogo has said that Kiambu children are the most affected considering most national schools are located in the county, and that children who are posted into different counties cannot even afford the fare to the schools they have been assigned to.

“Kiambu has National schools yet they can’t give us the chances to take our performing students there. Most of them have been posted to hostile places which are very far from here. We need to advocate for better services from these people if we are hoping to head anywhere at all,” Mrs. Kabogo said.
