Kiambu County Government has vowed to support people living with disabilities.

Speaking on Saturday at Mt Kenya University main campus, Kiambu County Education Executive, Anne Gichohi, said the county has set a side some money to help people living with disability.

“The county government has set a side some money to support projects and initiatives undertaken by people living with disability in the county,” said Gichohi.

He said that the funds will be used to equip them with knowledge and support their projects and endeavors.

She revealed that the county will establish workshops to sensitize them on talents and help them venture into businesses. She said this will help them cater for their needs.

The officer added that they are some plans to disburse some special loans to them.

“The money is expected to help them start businesses in the county,” notes Gichohi.

She further called on well wishers to join hands in the run to help the disabled in the society.

She was speaking when she graced the Miss Kiambu People With Disability (PWD) finals at Mount Kenya University main campus.
