Kiambu county government has been asked to improve road infrastructure in Kiamaina Ward.
Speaking to journalists when he toured the Ward on Saturday, area MCA Samuel Kamau said that most roads in the area have been rendered impassable as a result of rains experienced in the past few days.
The MCA said that road networks in the area are in pathetic state and have inconvenienced many residents.
“Our roads are in poor state and we want the county to urgently commission repair and renovations,” he said.
Mr Kamau said that roads infrastructure remains a critical component of any development to be achieved.
The MCA also asked the government to repair road signs that have been vandalised adding that accidents involving motorcycles continue to be experienced.
He said that the county has a responsibility to ensure its residents are not inconvenienced by poor roads as he asked the government to improve drainage systems in the county.
