The MCA believes that investing and nurturing talent will help address the rising unemployment menace.

Speaking to journalists at Kahawa Sukari Academy on Friday, the MCA said that sporting activities have the potential of changing the society, noting that many youths posses talents that if nurtured will help them earn a descent living.

“Kiambu County government should set in place structures that will promote talent and sports,” he said.

The Ward Representative asserted that time has come for the government to devise more ways of dealing with unemployment.

He noted that unemployment is a great challenge to society’s development, and that if not controlled; it could lead to high levels of poverty.

The MCA at the same time called upon leaders across Kiambu to focus on development projects that will directly benefit the people.

He stated that locals are yearning for services and the county government must focus to work extra hard to ensure the same is provided.

Geche further called for unity and collaboration among leaders in Kiambu, saying that they would only realize development if they are united.
