Deputy Medical Superintendent at the hospital Dr James Mwangi has confirmed the matter saying the three were brought to the facility on Tuesday evening vomiting and with diarrhoea.

Mwangi has now asked the county government of Kiambu to help residents with chlorine to put in water as well as sensitize people on the disease.

"We would request the county government to provide Kiambu residents with things like aquatabs and chlorine because this disease could be as a result of dirty water," said Mwangi at the hospital today.

He added: "We also need to advise the community on the need to boil drinking water and am sure we will reduce the spread of the disease in the county."

Mwangi has advised residents to maintain high standards of hygiene and avoid hawked food. The three victims said that they bought 'githeri' at the construction site after which they got ill. Food hawking is banned in the county.
