The ‘Kiambu Iko talent’ third edition at Rironi Primary School in Limuru Sub County on Saturday brought together residents from different wards to come and witnessed the talented youths from the county.

The old and the young, women and men came to spectator their sons and daughters as they showcase their talents which have long not been erupt due to fallen short of opportunities.

From young musicians, acrobats, artists, poetry and dancers managed to make the crowd to jubilate as the young sons and daughters performed into perfection that left guest judges confused of who should carry the day.

The young comedians made the roof explode as they left the crowd in stitches as Kiambu County Sports and Youth Affairs CeC Michael Waikenda addressed the crowd as he burst into laughter.

“I knew Kiambu has got talent all it needed is a boost and equal opportunity t show the world that the our youths have what it takes to compete at all level,” said Waikenda

He added, “Let us all youths embark in our talents during this time of unemployment since many have made it and chose it as a career and source of livelihood.”

“Again we should laugh especially at this time of grief and agony as Kenya fights terrorism since we have nothing to celebrate about but a little entertainment to make us forget those who lost their lives during the terror attack in Garissa,”

The CeC however promised to hold the ‘Kiambu Iko Talent’ fourth and fifth edition to every sub county to allow every Kiambu citizen an equal opportunity to showcase their talents.

The winners managed to walk away with sum of money, gift hampers and certificated of participation in all categories respectively.
