A cross-section of Jubilee Party affiliate-leaders from across Kiambu and Nyandarua counties have come out lashing at the opposition Coalition co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka for his remarks yesterday.

Kalonzo stated that he is ready to be sworn in as the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya alongside Raila Odinga as the President.

Just a day after the National Super Alliance’s (NASA) co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka spoke his mind in regards to the swearing in of Raila Odinga as President, leaders from the government camp has already started to fire at the diplomat leaders.

Speaking at the burial ceremony of Zakaria Kuria Mararo this afternoon at Ting'ang'a village, Kiambu MP Jude Njomo, Kinangop’s and Kiambu Majority Leader Anthony Ikonya called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy not to waste any time with the opposition.

“I would like to call upon the president not pay attention to what the opposition says. Most of their words do not mean anything ad they cannot change anything. Elections came and went, we won clearly. It is the for us to work and build our country,” said Kiambu constituency Member of Parliament Jude Njomo.

The leaders dared the former vice president to take a step toward materializing the opposition leadership’s swearing-in saying that Kenya is a democracy where subjects are under the rule of law.

“the step our brothers want to take is uncalled for and Kalonzo must face the full course of the law if he tries to do what he was talking about yesterday,” said Kiambu County Assembly Majority Leader Anthony Ikonya.

Ikonya added that it is time-barred for the Opposition to keep on pushing back the country to politics when it is clear that they have an intended agenda to cause chaos.

Ikonya further advised Kalonzo to attend to his recuperating wife instead of wasting time politicking.
