Kiambu County leaders have sent messages of condolence to the opposition leader Raila Odinga after his son Fidel Odinga was found dead this morning.
Odinga’s eldest son died in his sleep at their Karen home, with unconfirmed reports indicating that he had gone out with friends last night.
The cause of death is not yet known, but police officers have launched investigations.
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria tweeted: “My condolences to @RailaOdinga and Mama Ida for the extremely, untimely passing away of @FidelOdinga. RIP Fidel.”
Kiambu Governor William Kabogo also sent his condolence message on Twitter: “Jakom, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your son Fidel. God be with you and family at this very trying and difficult time.”
