Across Section of Jubilee-allied leaders castigated the move by the Opposition leaders to have a parallel swearing-in on Tuesday saying it is uncalled for and they will not allow anybody to breach the constitution.
Speaking during the burial service of Elizabeth Gathoni 5th Wife to Senior chief Koinange wa mbiu, the opinion leaders were quick to slam the opposition saying they will not sit back and watch the law being broken.
“I would like to call on Kenyans to rest from politics for the country had a very rough time during the political season which led to a downturn in business.” Said the former First Lady, Mama Ngina Kenyatta.
Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu also as always did not spare the opposition in a statement where he called on them to forego plans for the parallel swearing in of the NASA leader Raila Odinga.
“It’s time Kenyans should embark on real work as a lot of time was wasted while doing politics thus those with a mission or plan to change the constitution to wait for the next electioneer year.” Said Waititu.
Led by the Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Senator Kimani wa Matangi and Members of Parliament Paul Koinange his Limuru counterpart MP Peter Mwathi, the leaders remained adamant that the implementation of the constitution must take place and anyone found culpable of breaching the law must face its full wrath.
