Lari MP Mburu Kahangara has urged politicians in Kiambu to get serious and work for the people.
Speaking to journalists at Lari trading centre over the weekend, the legislator observed that some leaders have abandoned their duties.
Kahangara said that wrangles among a section of the county leaders are a clear indication that they are not performing their duties.
“I want to ask my colleagues to put aside their differences and work for the people,” said Kahangara.
The MP said that locals are yearning for services yet leaders who are supposed to provide them are busy fighting one another.
Kahangara said time is running out quickly and that leaders would be accountable to the people.
The MP also said that wrangles are likely to scare away investors. He called for unity among leaders in the county.
The lawmaker asked Lari residents to be patient as he works on development projects.
The MP, who inspected various development projects, said he is committed to providing excellent services to the people.
“We are working round the clock to ensure that all development projects are completed within the stipulated time so that people can access services,” said Kahangara.
