Limuru town MP John Kiragu has asked leaders in the county to stop persistent wrangles and work for the people who elected them to office.
Addressing reporters at Limuru town after a meeting with boda boda operators, Kiragu said that leaders have a responsibility to work for the people.
The MP said that wrangles that have been witnessed pitting Governor William Kabogo and some MCAs will affect development of the county.
“Kiambu leaders starting with the governor should shelve their differences and devote to work for the people,” he said.
Kiragu said that the county is likely to lag behind in terms of development if its leaders continue to argue.
He added that personal differences should not be included on matters that concern the public and the government.
The Limuru lawmaker urged leaders in the county to unite and help bring the warring parties together.
He also asked the county government to work on policies that will improve the living condition of the people.
Kiragu cited poverty as the major problem facing people across Kiambu town.
“It is time that leaders settled down and worked on ways that will eradicate poverty in Kiambu,” he added.
