Hospital ward member of county assembly Mwangi wa Mwagi has accused Thika MP, Alice Nganga of bias in the disbursement of the Constituency Development Fund bursaries and Thika education trust fund.
The MCA accused the MP of favouring schools with titles and forsaking those schools which are of low caliber.
He claimed that the MP mostly gives out the bursaries to those schools in provincial, district and national levels and leaves out those in county level.
While quoting recent bursary disbursements Mwangi claimed that students from hospital ward received less than a million shillings compared to nearly Sh5 million disbursed to their counterparts in the township wards.
Mwangi was speaking from his office in Thika on Saturday in an exclusive interview with the press on Saturday afternoon where he said that the ethics and anti corruption commission should come in and investigation the graft charges in Thika constituency.
The MCA highlighted the huge fee deficits amounting to over Sh11 million facing the school and blamed the situation on the failure by area MP to allocate bursaries towards assisting the needy students to clear their fees arrears.
He also accused the area MP of using the bursary kitty to settle political scores and claimed the students were being mistreated on account of his political differences with the MP.
The MCA further took issue with bursary disbursement to college students from the constituency accusing the MP of allocating huge amounts to a few students while giving nothing to others.
