Hospital ward MCA Mwangi Wamwangi has backed his fellow Ngewa MCA Karungo Wa Thangwa to oppose the Kiambu county vehicle purchase plan which has brought about the political heat in the area once again.
Wamwangi said that he will not support the move by the county government to purchase the vehicles for administrators alleging that the governor has plans to reduce powers for the legislators who were chosen by the people.
He added that he will do justice to the public by not supporting the move to embezzle their development funds as they chose him to fight for their rights and ensure their funds are well utilised.
Mwangi called on the fellow Kiambu county lawmakers to ensure they fight such moves by the prominent people in the government to oppress the poor citizens by misusing their funds through illegible projects.
“Lets join hands and fight graft in the area. Some people think they can utilise the public funds in their luxurious plans but we are there to defend the people against oppression,” Wamwangi said.
He assured the residents of his ward that he will not let diown on this as he has full support of the people and other leaders and vowed to debate against the purchase plan until the government channels the funds to other projects.
The legislator, who was speaking in his ward when he met the youth today, said that he has full responsibilty and he will not be silenced by anyone as he is doing the right thing as mandated by the law.
