Thika and Gatundu South legislators Alice Nganga and Moses Kuria have asked Internal Security CS Joseph Nkisery to make fast arrest of members in the Commission of Trade Unions (COTU), to answer allegations that they were behind Muchai’s death
The two were speaking in different places in Kiambu County, where they asked the police to stiffen the investigations regardless of the rank
In her part, Thika legislator, who was speaking in a church service in Thika PCEA on Sunday, said that the police should make an arrest on those who have been suspected to have been involved, because it will show the seriousness in the investigations.
She said that those who are alleged to be behind the late MP’s death are senior people in the trade unions commission, and thus the police should not be lenient to them due to their rank.
“These people should be arrested and coerced to say who of them is behind the death of Muchai and also say what they know about the matter. Kenyans should know where there is smoke there is fire. The police should not look at the rank of anyone because no rank is above the laws,” said Nganga.
Moses Kuria, who was speaking from his constituency on Saturday, said that COTUs top officials should answer very serious charges of murder and disruption of the country’s peace.
He said that everybody could not be wrong to note that someone whom they had wrangles with is brutally assassinated
“Kenyans are bright people and can note somewhere where there is a problem, COTU officials should answer very serious questions behind the death of Muchai because there is logic behind a situation where the person you are in wrangles with is assassinated brutally,” said Kuria.
