Led by the Kiambu County MPs Chairman and Kiambu town MP Jude Njomo, the leaders said that there is need for the leaders to bury their differences and unite in development rather than fight for leadership position without agendas.

Njomo said that the MPs and other leaders in Kenya swore using a bible that they will defend and protect the constitution of Kenya and they will not sit and watch as CORD harass and disturb the President when he is delivering his mandate to the Kenyans.

Kikuyu MP Antony Ichungwa said that CORD is not after IEBC disbanding as they will never be satisfied.

“These people have their own speculations. After we disband IEBC, they are targeting the parliament then the Judiciary and the Cabinet because all they want is power and not to lead Kenyans to any destination,” he said.

Ruiru MP Esther Gathogo said that no one will go contrary to the constitution no matter what and stated that CORD is after destabilizing the country so as they can demand for a ‘nusu mkate’ government which will never happen again in Kenya.

“We also hate the Salaries and Remuneration commission for reducing our salaries but do we demonstrate to oust them from office? They should learn that Kenyans have decided to remain peaceful after what happened in 2017 and that no one will go back there," she said.

“Their work as opposition is criticising the government as stated in the constitution but not fighting to disband all the government departments and independent bodies without following the law. They were on the fore front in fighting for the constitution hoping it will favour them but now they have to follow it,” Ng’ang’a added.
