Ngetich said that the police have put in place all security personnel on alert.

Speaking on Monday at Kiambu Town, Ngetich warned residents from accusing police of laxity in handling insecurities in the county.

“Kiambu police have been in front line of restoring security and we have stepped up our efforts in curbing the insecurities,” said Ngetich.

Kiambu police have come under criticism from residents and local leaders for failing to contain the insecurities in the area.

Among local leaders who have criticized police is Ngewa MCA Karungo wa Thangw'a who accused police of treating insecurity cases casually.

Ngetich called for cooperation in the fight against insecurities.

“I urge Kiambu residents to cooperate with police officers by providing useful information that will lead to arrest of criminals,” said Ngetich.

Ngetich also said that they would increase police patrol to contain the insecurities.

Some of the latest spate of insecurities in the area is the mystery disappearance of Juja Ward Rep, Samuel Gitau who went missing on Saturday night and killing of a matatu driver.
