On Tuesday, law enforcement discovered over 2,000 stones of bhang estimated to be worth Sh1 mllion in Kiambu.

According to reports, the drugs had been transported from Tanzania.

Two men were arrested on their way to Kasarani and are currently being investigated.

According to County commander Adiel Nyange some of the passengers in the car managed to get away.

"The saloon car's rear window opened at a bump and some of the stones of bhang in it fell out. The bhang is believed to have passed through Isibania border," the police boss said as reportred by The Star.

Nyange claims the car was transporting around 131 kilos worth of bhang.

"Another 1,800 stones were stuffed inside the vehicle leaving only space for the passenger and the driver," he added.

The vehicle was then towed to Karuri police station in Kiambaa.

"We urge members of the public to volunteer information on illegal substances being ferried within the county."

According to a NACADA Kiambu is at the top of the list in substance abuse.
