Residents of Ngegu, Turitui and Kanunga in Kiambu County have been assured of their safety after several cases of crime were reported in the area last week.
The County Police Boss Peter Nge’tich assured the residents that law enforcers are working hard to tame crime in the said areas.
Speaking at Kanunga Trading Centre on Sunday, Nge’tich said that enough mechanisms have been put in place to restore safety.
“We want to assure Kiambu residents that their security has been guaranteed and that they should move on with their daily activities without any fear,” said Nge’tich.
Ngetich also noted that crime dens have been mapped out adding that Police will be conducting security swoops to flush out all criminal in the area adding that Police in the area will remain committed to deal with any form of crime in the county.
He further said that Police will not tolerate individuals or groups who will be found taking part in unlawful activities.
Nge’tich on the same note cautioned youths in the area against joining criminal gang groups saying they too will be dealt with accordingly.
He asked residents in the affected areas to remain alert and notify the Police on suspicious acts and characters.
