Kiambu residents have called the government to divisively to deal with element of racism being perpetrated by foreigners to Kenyans .

The residents expressed shock at the way Kenyans are being mistreated by non-citizens on the ground of racism .

Jared Kigo, a Kiambu lawyer wondered why Kenyans should be subjected to such social ills.

“ We are a free nation and no one should discriminate one another on the ground of color “, said Kigo.

Kigo said that the nation would not condone racism and urged government to deal with the situation ruthlessly .

The residents anger erupted following a wide condemnation by the public over a Chinese diner at Nairobi that has been denying Africans to access the premises after 5 P.M.

Alice Wambui , a teacher at Kiambu Town called the government to substantively deal with the proprietor of the diner .

“ Kenyans can't allow foreigners to do what they like “, said Wambui.

She argued that with promulgation of constitution every Kenyan has right to freedom of movement and denying them access to some places is infringement of their rights.

The residents urged the government to swiftly probe the allegations of racism and take tough actions to all those implicate in the matter .
