Kiambu TNA chairman William Kuria has called for unity among leaders in the county despite their diverse personal and political differences.
Addressing the press in Kiambu, Kuria said that unity is paramount if Kiambu County is to prosper. He said that leaders have a responsibility to come together and works towards a common purpose.
“I want to ask political leaders from various parties and organisations in Kiambu to work together,” he said.
The TNA chairman indicated that time to play politics ended with the 2013 General Elections and that leaders should focus on development.
Kuria indicated that Kenyans are expecting much from their leaders and that they should be on the fore front in promoting unity and cohesion.
The chairman further called on youths in Kiambu to come out and support various programmes being initiated by both the national and the county governments.
He said that taking part in development activities will help young people to open their minds and take a great step forward in terms of personal and societal development.
Concerning the case facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto at the International Criminal Court (ICC), Kuria said the two will be declared innocent.
He said the ICC has admitted to having no evidence against the leaders adding that it is just a matter of time before the cases are dropped.
