In an address to the media, Kabogo said that county has the capacity to adopt similar cashless system.

He noted that adoption of cashless system in public transport vehicles will increase efficiency and curb charging of exorbitant fares by some operators.

“We have in place plans to have a cashless system for PSVs operating in Kiambu County,” said Kabogo.

The governor noted that the county has adopted ICT policies, which he said are important in efficient service delivery.

“We are among the top counties that have adopted ICT usage to boost service delivery,” he said.

Kabogo added that the government is keen to ensure residents have access to quality services in an easier and appropriate way.

Meanwhile, the county government has donated several garbage collection trucks to Limuru sub-county.

Speaking while launching the trucks on Wednesday, Kabogo said that the trucks will aid in garbage collection.

He added that the county is committed to improve sanitation standards. “We want to make Kiambu the cleanest county across the country,” he added.

The governor revealed that a massive programme to clean markets and towns in the county will be launched soon.
