Speaking at his office on Monday, the health executive said the move is geared towards imparting the drivers with driving skills.

Mwangi observed that much has changed in the driving curriculum hence the need to train drivers. The county recently acquired nine ambulances worth Sh 40 million.

The CeC said that the acquisition of the ambulances will boost delivery of health services.

He added that the county will train all medical personnel and equip them with more skills. Mwangi said the county is focused on realising the health agenda as stipulated in the strategic plan launched last year.

While flagging off the ambulances last week, county Governor William Kabogo pledged to improve health services.

He said the county has invested heavily in the health sector adding that residents should feel free to seek medical care.

Kabogo intimated that the county is working with the private sector to boost development.
